The Secrets To Making Your Wedding Day Memorable
By: Nicola Driscall
Everybody dreams of having a perfect wedding, but like all planned events even the wedding ceremonies
generally have one or more glitches, which need to be smoothed. Ultimately one has to remember that the day
is for and of the bride and groom and the planned choices that they've made should be honored above the
choices of others. Most important thing is to remain calm and cool and stay with your plans.

Before planning your wedding it's important to know exactly what you want before you start making those final
decisions that many times can't be reversed. Talk about what you want with your finance. You'll more than
likely have a budget that you need to stick to so you'll have to decide what's important to you that you won't
give up versus what you're willing to part with.

Your first decision will be the wedding date. If the ceremony will take place in a church or some other heavily
used building, confirm that the date is available. If it isn't you'll have to settle on another, so it's a good plan to
have several possibilities when you are ready to book.

Things add up fast, so carefully plan your budget. Common sense will come in handy when you make your
choices. Concentrate on good ways to keep the costs down. For example, if you want to hire a DJ to spin music
at the reception, check more than one source. You may be able to find a better deal.

When it's time to begin buying wedding things, make a list of everything you need, what it will cost, and then
stick to that. Talk with merchants in your locale, as they may be willing to give you a good price. It certainly
won't hurt to ask.

Hiring a photographer is one of the biggest decisions in any wedding plan. Your wedding photos will capture
your memories and be with you all of your lives. Visit several photographers and look at a number of sample
photos. You may have some special pictures and you'll want to know before the wedding that this photographer
can shoot them.

The next important issue you want to decide on is the number of people you want to invite to your wedding
function. Be realistic and remain within your budget while counting heads for sending the invite. If your budget
is tight then there is no point in having a huge guest list, so you will have to cut down on some names and limit
only to those close family members and friends who are important to you.

After deciding on the head count you have to decide on the caterer that fits your budget. Do not decide on
the caterer just on the basis of the cost factor, take also into account his reputation and services he is
offering. Caterer cost also depends on the menu you want for the wedding party- so deciding on a good and
reasonable menu is equally important.

With so many things to think about when it comes to planning your wedding it's easy to overlook something.
Ask your bridesmaid or a member of your family to help you with the planning so that nothing is left out.
Sometimes it helps to have an extra person to help you make some of the more confusing decisions, such as
what type of music to play at the reception.

Even though it's a lot of work, be sure to have fun when you plan for your big day. After all it's one of the most
special days you'll ever have.
