DON'T LET THESE COMMON MISTAKES
HAPPEN TO YOU!
TIPS TO SURVIVING A WEDDING EXPO/BRIDAL FAIR
|
1. DO NOT use your personal email address when registering with
the Bridal Fair. Most email accounts will let you add a new email
address such as..."BradandJanetwedding@coolmail.com" Do give
this email address to vendors you meet and like.
2. DO NOT give out your phone number when registering with the
Bridal Fair. However, do give personal information to vendors you
meet that you find interesting. These vendors now will be the only
people contacting you versus the 500 vendors that attended the
Bridal Fair.
3. DO NOT give out your personal address when registering with the
Bridal Fair. You can get a PO Box fairly cheap at your local mail
store.
4. Print labels with your pertinent information when registering for
prizes and giveaways. Then watch the look on other brides faces
when they have to painfully write their info on 500 entry forms and
all you have to do is peel a label. (you'll be very glad you did this)
5. Here is what you need to do in the first week:
A. Contact and set up meetings with the vendors you are
interested in.
B. Once you have collected all of the info you need from vendors
via emails and mail, close your email address and PO Box
because it will become very apparent why this needs to be
done. Information Constipation! (just be glad you didn't use
your personal email, address and phone number) I know of
brides who had to change their cell numbers and email
addresses.
C. All wedding vendors will receive a list of brides and grooms,
which includes your phone number, address and email address,
about a week after the fair. Guess what that means? However,
you won't have to worry because you have followed these tips
and tricks of the trade.
I tell you these things from personal experience. I am a wedding vendor
and I have seen the carnage!
